Texas CDA - Welcome

      State Regent Eve Trevino

Formed in 1903, under the patronage of the Blessed Mother, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) are united by their faith in Jesus Christ and their devotion to the Catholic Church. We are one of the oldest and largest Orders of Catholic women in the Americas.

The Texas State Court was organized January 25, 1917. Our Mission Statement is a reflection of the CDA motto of Unity and Charity; "The members of the Texas State and Local Courts love Christ and His Church. We are dedicated to leading others to Christ and to His service through active participation in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas."

The Statue of Our Patroness, Mary, the Blessed Mother of God, is on display at the National CDA office in New York. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Patroness of Texas.

“Everything is possible to the one who has Faith.” Mark 9:23

Quarterly Prayer Intentions

The following are the prayer intentions for the current quarter. Please share them with your court members. “Where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in their midst.” Matthew 18:20

  • For Pope Francis, the church and all her leaders, both ordained and lay persons, that they may always have the courage to preach and live the Gospel.
  • For the Catholic Daughters of the Americas newly elected State officers, newly appointed State Chaplain, State Chairman, District Deputies, newly organized court officers, and all leaders and members of our local courts; may they continue to lead others to Christ and to His service.
  • For the new school year, may administrators, faculty, staff, students, and their families always keep You, Lord, with them in school and extracurricular activities; falling into your arms for guidance, protection, and the courage to follow Your Will.
  • For those in need, sick, suffering, lost, and those who are troubled in spirit, that they may be restored to good health and give thanks to You, Lord, and Your church.
