State Officer Goals and Activities for the 20011-2013 Term

Your State Officers can help your Court grow to its full potential. Here are just some of the ways they help Courts grow.

• Goals

  • To re-evaluate our priorities and ensure that God is first in our lives
  • To work together in peace and harmony and be the shining examples of Christian sisterhood that God is asking us to be
  • To work together as a team to build the "Unity and Charity" that is our motto
  • To provide opportunities and programs for spiritual growth for all Catholic women through the Catholic Daughters of the Americas organization
  • To be a witness to our faith through our actions and interactions
  • To encourage our membership to conduct multi-district and area retreats
  • To work with our brother Knights of Columbus in new court development
  • To utilize our sister CDA members throughout the state in leadership roles to empower them to grow in and share their leadership abilities
  • To begin the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home for a needy family
  • To promote programs centered on the youth and/or family in the communities
  • To assist our local courts with planning their ceremonies
  • To participate in at least one pro-life activity during the year
  • To promote women's health
  • To continue to increase membership and develop new courts
  • To promote the fact that CDA is a vibrant organization in our church today

• Activities

  • To utilize our State Retreat Chairman by promoting retreats
  • Encourage courts to undertake all programs of the Circle of Love program
  • Continue to offer court incentives for increasing membership
  • Continue to recognize members with the St. Bernadine of Siena Award for Court Development
  • Encourage courts to promote activities that involve the family and the youth
  • Encourage active participation in the Circle of Love program, newsletter, scrapbook and membership contests
  • Provide support for courts that are struggling through the Court Outreach program
  • Provide thorough instructions for new courts and continued support
  • Continue leadership and officer training workshops to develop future CDA leaders
  • Utilize the media to spread the good works of our organization
  • Encourage all Catholic Daughters to discern Christ's call to... "Come, Be My Light" - Blessed Mother Teresa
